Siegel Boys Fall in State Quarterfinals

The first state tournament in seven years for the Siegel boys basketball team ends with a 68-57 loss to Oak Ridge.

It was a tight game until the final three-minutes, when the Wildcats went on a 10-0 run to pull away.

Stars coach Dyron Birdwell:

Zion Swader was the leading scorer with 18-points. Jaylan Wetzel and Mr. Basketball finalist Matthew Schneider added 12. Birdwell says this trio along with fellow seniors Martise Jackson, Vonterius Reed and Isiah Lightsy have been a special group to coach:

The season ends for the Stars with a 27-5 record.
