The 2021 edition of the annual Storybook Breakfast was sold out as more than 200 attendees enjoyed breakfast from Chick-fil-A and Dunkin’ Donuts. Guests also enjoyed games, story time and books, all sponsored by Murfreesboro Medical Clinic Pediatrics Department and the ENT Department. The event was at the Cannonsburg Village.
Proceeds from the Storybook Breakfast benefit the Imagination Library recipients in Rutherford County.
Approximately $30,000 dollars was raised Saturday. United Way of Rutherford and Cannon Counties Executive Director Meagan Flippin stated, "The donations will fund the Imagination Library for two months."
The Governor’s Foundation provides half of the funding for the program, the other half must be raised by a sustaining partner in each community. In Rutherford County, the sustaining partner is the United Way of Rutherford and Cannon Counties."
