Companies are Hiring: The Rutherford County Chamber of Commerce reports that numbers highlighting the growth of the county also show the changing population. That growth comes with a demand for jobs and currently, 80 employers in the Rutherford County area are looking to fill over 4,000 in-demand positions. As of Tuesday, 80 businesses have registered to attend the second county-wide job fair hosted by Rutherford Works in partnership with the American Job Center.

Rutherford Work's Economic Development team recently found Census data that shows that 44% of those moving into the Murfreesboro area are coming from states outside of Tennessee. The team also uncovered information that only 21% of the new residents moving into Rutherford County are from nearby Davidson County. Meanwhile, 35% of the new residents Rutherford County has seen in recent months have moved into this area from other communities within the Volunteer State.

To help employers with the growth, Rutherford Works has partnered with the American Job Center to host a county-wide job fair. The upcoming event will feature high-growth, high-wage jobs. The job fair will take place at Embassy Suites in Murfreesboro on July 12, 2021 from 10AM to 4PM.
