(MURFREESBORO) – “Dance under the stars, mix and mingle with friends, enjoy a beautiful end of the summer party, and light up the night to benefit a great cause,” said Child Advocacy Center Development Coordinator Katie Enzor.

The Child Advocacy Center is hosting the 4th Annual Light Up the Night Party to celebrate the end of summer on Friday, September 10, 2021 from 6:00-9:00 p.m. at Oaklands Mansion, Murfreesboro.  The party of the season will include music, dancing, heavy hors d’oeuvres, cocktails, and an amazing silent auction.  Two complimentary drinks are included with each ticket and a cash bar will be available.  Tickets are $100 per individual or $175 per couple.  Guests are encouraged to wear white to light up the night in support of child abuse victims.

The Child Advocacy Center works as a multidisciplinary team with the Department of Children’s Services, law enforcement, and the District Attorney’s Office to respond to child abuse cases, investigate the crime, aggressively prosecute offenders, help children heal, and help families rebuild their shattered lives.

In the last 21 years, the Child Advocacy Center and the Child Protective Investigative Team have impacted the lives of 11% of the population of Rutherford and Cannon Counties by serving 38,478 people.  Unfortunately, children have not been safer at home during the pandemic.  Child abuse reporting increased 16% in Rutherford and Cannon Counties last year.

“Most of the expenses for this event have been funded by our generous community.  As a result, the funding raised from the party will directly support crisis intervention services for child abuse victims, child sexual abuse victims, and drug endangered children,” said Child Advocacy Center director De Boer.  “Come out, enjoy a beautiful end of the summer party, and support child abuse victims.”

Sponsorship opportunities and event tickets are available at www.cacrutherford.org/events.
