“Unity For the Community” is a combined partnership bringing together the energies, resources, and talents of Stewarts Creek High School, Smyrna High School, Second Harvest Food Bank, Nourish Food Bank and the Town of Smyrna.

This week, the student bodies of Stewarts Creek and Smyrna will be bringing in non-perishable food items to be donated to Second Harvest in Smyrna.

In agreement with Second Harvest and with Nourish, the items brought in will be used in the Smyrna community.

The week long effort will culminate with Nourish Food Bank picking up the donated items from the schools at the Stewarts Creek versus Smyrna football game on this Friday at 7 PM.

The Mayor's Cup will be up for grabs with Smyrna Mayor Mary Esther Reed on hand to do the coin toss for the game.

WGNS will be there to broadcast. Coverage begins at 6pm with a 7pm kickoff.
