After a week of uncertainty with three county games cancelled due to COVID-19, the Friday night lights did shine for some teams with a Saturday special coming up by one team as well.
The WGNS microphones were at "The Den" in La Vergne for their in-county, non-region game with Siegel. The game was close throughout, with the Stars pulling out their second one-point victory in a row 28-27. The Wolverines scored with 4:55 left in the game but a failed two-point conversion left them behind. Siegel was able to rattle off several first downs to run out the clock.
The Wolverines' Zante Clark had 10-carries for 127-yards and this 86-yard touchdown to give them a 13-6 lead early in the second quarter:
They would add another score with 1:40 left in the first half. But with three-seconds left in the half, Siegel quarterback Thomas Santel found wide receiver Tracy Shaw:
Siegel would score twice more to take a 28-21 lead early in the first quarter and they held on for victory.
RIVERDALE 35, ROSSVIEW 0

First half miscues by Middle Tennessee Chrisitan lead to a 35-19 first half deficit. A valiant comeback effort in the second half fell short on the road.
OAKLAND AT MADISON RIDGELAND ACADEMY, MS
The Oakland Patriots are in Mississippi to play Madison Ridgeland Academy in a nationally televised game Saturday at 2pm local time. The game will be broadcast on ESPN 2.
