(Murfreesboro, TN) – Rutherford Recovery Fest – a Prevention Coalition for Success, Project Lifeline, and Faith-Based Initiatives event – will take place on Saturday, September 18 from 10am to 2pm at Family Worship Center in Murfreesboro, TN.
WGNS was told that the goal of this free community-driven event is to reduce the stigma surrounding addiction and to provide resources and education.
Sarah Murfree with the Prevention Coalition for Success said that illegal drug use is a large problem in Rutherford County, but another problem involves the stigma that comes with addiction.
One issue that impacts those who become addicted to drugs or alcohol is time and insurance...
The event is family-friendly with guest speakers, music, activities for kids, free food, and over 50 resource tables.
Again, the 5th annual Recovery Fest is a free community event that is open to everyone this Saturday from 10AM to 2PM at the Family Worship Center in Murfreesboro (3045 Memorial Blvd., Murfreesboro, TN 37129).
