Murfreesboro, Tenn. — Top canine athletes from across the country are headed to Murfreesboro, Tennessee, to compete in the U.S. Dog Agility Association’s prestigious Cynosport® Dog Agility World Games Championship, Oct. 20-24 at Tennessee Miller Coliseum.

Contenders will unleash their dogs and direct them with voice and hand signals through obstacle courses in a race against the clock. Competitors will battle for the sport’s most coveted prizes including the Grand Prix of Dog Agility® World Champion title and the right to compete for $15,000 in cash prizes.

There is nothing more entertaining than watching talented dogs perform against the clock over hurdles and a-frames, through tunnels, tire jumps, weave poles and even the see-saw. Easy for spectators to understand, the object is to have the least penalties with the fastest time. Dogs of all breeds and sizes will compete in various classes where obstacles are set based on the dog’s height.

Spectator fun for all ages

Daily activities run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 20 through Sunday, Oct. 24, with evening events on Saturday beginning at 6:00 p.m. Please note that COVID-19 protocols will be in place, including masks and social distancing. Check the event website at www.cynosport.com for current details on show day. The event will be held at Tennessee Miller Coliseum, located at 304B West Thompson Lane, Murfreesboro.

The event is hosted by the United States Dog Agility Association (USDAA), the world’s largest, independent canine sports authority, dedicated to promoting the sport of dog agility. The organization is credited with introducing dog agility to North America. Sponsorship support comes from Vetz Petz Antinol, the official joint supplement of USDAA (www.antinol.com.) Those who cannot attend the event can watch select final rounds at vetzpetz.com/cynosport
