Rutherford County Sheriff's Deputy Fired

A Rutherford County Sheriff’s Deputy is out of a job, due to a conduct violation.

Sheriff’s spokesperson Lisa Marchesoni told WGNS NEWS, “The Sheriff’s Office terminated Deputy Michael Parsons’ employed because of a violation of the code of conduct.”

The Sheriff’s office did not release any details as to what occurred at this time.

Parsons has been a part of the Sheriff’s Office for the past 12-years. He was a School Resource Officer for 2-of those years between 2018 and 2020.
