Rutherford County Fire Fighter of the Year 2021 Honored by The Exchange Club of Murfreesboro

Austin Hill of the Rutherford County Fire Rescue (RCFR) Department was recognized for his dedication and hard work on November 3, 2021 by The Exchange Club of Murfreesboro. Firefighter Hill was presented a special recognition plaque for his honor.

RCFR Assistant Chief Josh Sanders said that Firefighter Austin Hill was one of the first full time hires when the County Fire Department was formed. Hill has continuously shown dedication to the Department including recruitment of new firefighters as well as taking ownership of his duties. Hill often will do research on his own time to better the department.

Services provided by The Rutherford county Fire Department are Fire Suppression, Vehicle Rescue (Extrication), Medical First Response, Hazardous Materials Response, and
