Sat. (Feb. 5, 2022) 8:00AM   Isaiah 117 House of Rutherford County is partnering with Help Build Hope to build the walls for a home that will house children awaiting foster care placement. Volunteers for this project can be "families" (ages 5 and up) or individuals. Professional builders will guide volunteers to properly build the walls for the home. This home will help change the way foster care begins in Rutherford County. The purpose of Isaiah 117 House is to provide physical and emotional support in a safe and loving home for children awaiting foster care placement. Right now, children awaiting foster care placement often have nothing with them and are scared, lonely, hungry, and in dirty clothing. This new Isaiah 117 House will provide a place that is safe with friendly and loving volunteers who provide clean clothes, smiles, toys, and snuggly blankets. This space allows children to receive the comfort and care they need while DCS staff can do the necessary paperwork and identify a good foster placement.
