Detectives in Murfreesboro need help identifying and locating two individuals who are persons of interest in a theft of a trailer.
Authorities tell WGNS that the enclosed trailer was taken from the back parking lot of the Murfreesboro City Schools building on South Church Street just past Warrior Drive on Feb. 18, 2022.
Because the theft occurred at the start of President Day weekend, the theft wasn't reported until days later.
A security camera captured an older model pickup truck, possibly a GMC, on video. The truck could be seen backing up to the trailer, and two individuals got out and appeared to be locking the hitch into place. However, it took work to latch the trailer onto the tow hitch, because the trailer hitch had a lock on it, but that lock was cut off .
The trailer is worth around $3,500.
