RUTHERFORD COUNTY, TN - WGNS has more information on a Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office investigation that led to the confiscation of about $25,000 worth of cocaine on Wednesday (03/02/2022).
The Sheriff’s Office reported that narcotics detectives located approximately 1.2-pounds of cocaine after serving a search warrant on Rocky Lane off Old Lascassas Road.
In addition to the cocaine, Sgt. Sedric Fields reports he also found several sets of digital scales, a small amount of marijuana, crack pipes, $2,237 cash and firearms.
It has now been confirmed that four of the five suspects arrested during the Wednesday operation are now free on bond.
Detective James O’Rourke charged 49-year-old Chike Collier of Clark Boulevard, 48-year-old Carlos Elder of Bradyville Pike, 56-year-old Debra Brooks of Rocky Lane, 25-year-old Shane Johnson of Little Hole Road and 63-year-old Charles Tigg of Rocky Lane with Manufacture, Deliver, Sell and/or Possess a Schedule II Narcotic (cocaine).
In addition to the charges the five are facing, Tigg was also charged with maintaining a dwelling for the purpose of manufacturing/selling narcotics.
Out of the five suspects, all but Debra Brooks were placed under bonds between $20,000 and $25,000. Brooks was placed under a $40,000 bond and as of Thursday afternoon (3/3/2022), she is the only suspect who remains behind bars at the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center in Murfreesboro.
While the investigation is ongoing, a hearing has already been set for the five subjects arrested on Wednesday. That hearing will be in Rutherford County General Sessions Court on May 25, 2022.
