(MURFREESBORO, TENN) A company founded in England in has re-established their presence in North America. Woods Air Movement has officially opened a new U.S. headquarters office in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
That was Dan Luesley, President of Woods Air Movement USA. He will be heading the companies U.S. operations out of their new Murfreesboro facility.

The company visited several other states before ultimately picking Murfreesboro during the height of the COVID Pandemic. Construction on their structure came to completion earlier this year. On Tuesday, they opened their doors to business (04/05/2022).

Originally established in 1909 in Colchester, England, Woods Air Movement is globally recognized in a variety of markets from building ventilation and fire safety to customized industrial projects. Woods Air Movement manufactures smoke and fire safety products as well as centrifugal, axial Jet Thrust and roof fans. The company also specializes in acoustic and engineering support services.
Looking back to January of 2021 when the company made the announcement of Woods deciding on Murfreesboro as their future home in the U.S., Murfreesboro Mayor Shane McFarland said, “One of the top goals of the Murfreesboro City Council along with our partners at the Rutherford Chamber of Commerce is to attract higher paying jobs to help keep talented MTSU graduates in our community. We are excited to celebrate the decision by Woods Air Movement to locate an advanced manufacturing and R&D [Research and Development] facility in Murfreesboro. We look forward to welcoming Woods’ leadership and nearly 30 engineering jobs to our growing and livable community.”
The new facility in Rutherford County is now Woods Air Movement's North American headquarters and manufacturing facility for industrial ventilation products used in road and rail tunnels, non-residential buildings and underground parking garages. The facility will also function as a product testing center, which will be accessible to customers.
