Middle Tennesseans asked to be on the lookout for a "Person of Interest" in possible Double Homicide

Middle Tennessee — Middle Tennessee residents are asked to be on the lookout for a “Person of Interest” in a possible double murder. The information was released by the Columbia, Tennessee Police Department in Maury County.

Shortly after 10:00 on Monday morning (April 18, 2022), Columbia Police Officers were called to a house on Skyline Drive to investigate a report of two deceased individuals. As of 1:45 Monday afternoon, investigators were still processing the scene for evidence of a double homicide. Authorities continue to pursue leads to identify all parties involved in this violent act.

Deceased were 56-year-old Christopher Gaines and 51-year-old Katrina Gaines. Both were found inside the residence on Skyline Drive in Columbia, TN, according to police.

Information has developed that 27-year-old Demondra Gaines has been named a person of interest in this case. Columbia Police advise he is believed to be driving a black 2018 Nissan Altima with the following tag number: 8B0-6P6.

Detectives are asking that anyone with information about this crime or the whereabouts of Gaines, to contact Columbia Police at 931-388-2727 (extension 1). PRESS RELEASE: 2:30 pm 4/18/2022

At 10:16 am on April 18th, 2022 Columbia Police Officers were called to a house in the 600 block of Skyline Drive to investigate a double homicide.

Upon arrival, Officers located Christopher Gaines (56) and Katrina Gaines (51) inside the residence, deceased.

Investigators are currently processing the scene for evidence and are actively pursuing leads to identify all parties involved in this violent act.

Information has developed 27-year-old Demondra Gaines as a person of interest in this case. He is believed to be driving a black 2018 Nissan Altima tag number 8B0-6P6.

There are NO ACTIVE WARRANTS for his arrest at this time.
