Coach Aaron Morrison has announced his resignation as the head coach of the MTCS boys basketball team. Coach Morrison steps away after leading the Cougars for one season.

"I am incredibly thankful to the administration at MTCS for giving me an opportunity to lead their basketball program this past year. I hope that the relationships I've built in this short period will last a lifetime. The long commute, time away from family, and other opportunities have driven me to step away from this position moving forward. I will always support the boys in this program and will do whatever I can do from afar to help them achieve their goals and pursue their endeavors. Thank you."

An aggressive 30 day search for our next head coach will begin immediately. Current MTCS faculty member and coach, Billy Snell has been named interim head coach until a
full time replacement can be found. In addition, TSSAA Hall of Fame Coach Randy King has agreed to assist Coach Snell during this interim period.

MTCS Athletic Director Jason Piercey states, “We look forward to identifying the right leader of our boys high school basketball program to help us fulfill our mission to prepare students for lifelong learning and service in God’s kingdom through their participation in a God-honoring, Jesus following, and championship-winning, athletic program. If we are unable to do so during this immediate search, we have full confidence in our interim team to lead our program heading into next year.”
