The Boro Art Crawl returns to the Historic Murfreesboro Square on June 16, 2022 (Thursday). Initially founded in 2015 by a group of local artists wanting to help foster the artistic community downtown and across Murfreesboro, it was suspended during the worst of the COVID-19 pandemic. Returning now, local artists are uniting with local businesses to showcase some of the best visual arts that Murfreesboro offers, according to Eric Snyder, the newly re-established Boro Art Crawl Committee president.

There will be new additions to the Art Crawl this June that include CrawlTalks, a Q&A event featuring clay artist Timothy Weber and painter Justyna Kostkowska, is scheduled for 6:30 p.m., Thursday, June 2, at the M&J Home on 124 N College Street. This free Wine and Cheese celebration is open to the public and features two outstanding artists demonstrating and discussing their artistic and philosophical processes. Also on June 2, at 7:30 p.m., the Abbey Murfreesboro, located at 215 N. Church Street, will feature the smooth jazz of trumpet player Fredrick Weathersby. This “CrawlTunes” event is also free to the public.

On June 16th (Thursday) in collaboration with Main Street Murfreesboro and downtown's Sip, Shop, and Stroll, The Boro Art Crawl returns at 5 p.m. Centered around and near the old courthouse square, The Crawl hosts artists Meagan Armes, Ryan Frizzell, Kay Currie, Vincent Mosbey, Kora Green and more at 16 locations including The Abbey Murfreesboro Pub and Coffee House, Burger, Scott & McFarlin, The Center for the Arts, Church Street Gallery, Domenico's Italian Deli, FunTiques, Jensen Quality Homes, KDGi Solutions, L & L Contractors, M&J Home, Music City Tea, Nurture Nook Day Spa and Gift Shoppe, Puckett's Grocery and Restaurant, Veda's Flowers and Gifts, Vibe Nutrition, and The Walnut House.

Lastly, on June 18th (Saturday), the Crawl events this cycle conclude with Jam in the Alley, a muralist, graffiti, and street artist extravaganza starting at 10 am and located near the intersection of N Church and E College adjacent to event sponsors Church Street Gallery and Smith-Wright Law. This is a free event, and the public is invited to participate and interact with the participating artists. Additional Crawls will follow on September 16, November 4, and May 20, 2023. The new Crawl has partnered with several entities in our community to bring the event back to the public. These include Main Street Murfreesboro, Rutherford Arts Alliance, MTSU Department of Art and Design, Legacy Ink Design, Church Street Gallery, and M&J Home. Additionally, we're pleased to have Fully Promoted serve as our overall events’ sponsor.
