(MURFREESBORO) A pedestrian who was attempting to cross Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard around 6:50PM Friday night (6/3/2022) was hit by an SUV. The man was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Murfreesboro Police' Fatal Accident Crash Team (FACT) said the fatal accident occured on MLK, Jr. Boulevard between the Patterson Community Center and Mercury Plaza Shopping Center.
The driver of the vehicle that hit the pedestrian was taken to the hospital to be evaluated after having what was described as a panic attack. Charges could be forthcoming, according to the MPD. The accident remains under investigation. NewsRadio WGNS will keep you informed.
