Murfreesboro Police Investigating Car Break-In Case - Unknown Subjects Allegedly Write $6,300 in Checks

(MURFREESBORO, TN) UPDATE - BOLO CANCELED! Murfreesboro Police report, "Detective Rice has identified the two persons of interest in this auto burglary/fraud case." MPD Public Information Officer Larry Flowers stated, "The investigation continues."

PREVIOUS REPORT: Murfreesboro Detectives are currently investigating a burglary to a vehicle case that occurred in the Stones River Country Club parking lot. There, several things were stolen from the victims car, including credit cards and checks. The break-in took place on June 24.

The MPD reports the stolen credit cards were recently used to purchase gift cards at Kroger on Northfield Blvd. Several days later, three checks totaling $6,362 were allegedly written and cashed at Ascend Federal Credit Union in Murfreesboro (using a different theft victim’s name and ID). 

The individuals seen on video in this news story are persons of interest, according to MPD Public Information Officer Larry Flowers. He told WGNS that detectives would like to question the subjects to see if they had any involvement in the theft case at the local country club.  If you know these two individuals, please contact Detective Jessica Rice at 629-201-5550.
