RUTHERFORD COUNTY, Tenn. – A Smyrna native successfully graduated the U.S. Army’s Advanced Individual Training at Fort Sill, Oklahoma, and Fort Sam Houston, Texas, June 25.
Pfc. Megan Rutherford completed the seven-week program to qualify as a patient administration specialist, where her responsibilities will include compiling data, preparing reports on patient visits, and managing medical records for service members and their families.
Rutherford will serve with the Tennessee Army National Guard Medical Command, headquartered in Smyrna.
“I am grateful for the motivation and the confidence instilled into me as a result of my military training,” said Rutherford.
Rutherford graduated from Stewarts Creek High School in 2021. She has a brother that is currently in Initial Entry Training for the Tennessee National Guard.
