Rifles and Ammo Stolen From Fosterville-Christiana Home

(Fosterville-Christiana) It's been over a week since the Rutherford County Sheriffs Office answered a burglary call where several firearms and hundreds of rounds of ammunition were stolen. Detectives are asking the public to share any information about the break-in that occurred Friday, August 26, 2022, between 10:00 that morning and 1:00 in the afternoon at a home on highway 269 in the Fosterville-Christiana area. 

Rifles Taken

The stolen firearms consist of several hunting style rifles and shotguns: Ithaca 12 Gauge shotgun (lever action w/ single shot), Harrington & Richardson 20-gauge single shot shotgun, a Harrington & Richardson 410-gauge single shot shotgun and a Colt .22 long rifle (semi-automatic). Other items stolen included a Marlin Glenfield model 30A rifle (.30-30 lever action w/ scope) and a Marlin .22 long rifle.

RCSO Feels Burglar Is Local

Detectives believe the burglar or burglars live in the area.
