(MURFREESBORO) 76-year-old Murfreesboro resident Bill Zuiches got a "treat" on Monday night. He successfully completed the presentation ceremony at Bill Taylor's Bushido School of Karate and received his Black Belt in Wado Ryu.
Bill Taylor said that Zuiches is presently the oldest person in the Karate Federation to earn their Black Belt. After the ceremony, Bill Zuiches told WGNS news... The proud grandfather noted that his 14-year-old grandson Matthew is also a Black Belt, and 8-year old Lucas is a Purple Belt.
Building family relations is evidently an extra benefit of the martial arts program, as Zuiches explained that there are several families taking martial arts classes together at the local school. Zuiches confessed, "It took me about 6-years of hard work and dedication to accomplish this."
Congratulations to Murfreesboro resident Bill Zuiches, who received his Black Belt on Halloween evening, while building stronger ties with his family at the same time.
