FRIDAY: The Lighting of the Historic Courthouse Tree in Murfreesboro

(Murfreesboro Square) It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas and Santa Claus plans to be on the downtown Murfreesboro Square this Friday evening!  That was Main Street Murfreesboro Executive Director Sarah Callender. The special event will be this Friday (Dec. 2, 2022) between 5:30 and 8:30 pm. 

Middle Tennessee Christian School and Providence Christian Academy choirs perform between 5:30 and 6:00. There will be additional on-stage performances beginning at 6:00 pm, featuring live performances to include singers, dancers, Center for the Arts, a Poet Laurette and more.

In addition to a variety of performances, there will also be free kid’s activities around the courthouse, pictures with Santa, and a story time for children from Read To Succeed volunteers. Also at the event will be Carriage Rides, freshly made Kettle Corn, Chick-Fil-A, Cool Beans, the Hot Dog Guy and more.

Again, the festivities will be from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm THIS Friday, December 2, 2022 on the downtown Murfreesboro square.
