(Nashville, TN) In Nashville, Metro Police are trying to determine the identity of a man who allegedly removed a female passenger from his car as she was having what was described as a seizure. The woman, who was in the midst of a medical crisis, has been identified as 38-year-old Hayley Grace from Murfreesboro.
Police report after the unknown motorist removed Grace, he left her outside of a Mapco gas station in the 5000 block of Nolensville Pike. The convenience store sits between Haywood Lane and Tusculum Road in South Nashville.
Surveillance video footage from the Mapco store shows the man was driving a white BMW when he pulled to the side of the building around 3 p.m. on Tuesday, December 6th. Video evidence showed the driver, who appeared to be in his 40s, walked over to the passenger side of the car and physically removed Grace, and then walk into the gas station.
Once inside, the man allegedly told the store clerk that there was a woman on the ground outside. According to police, “He showed her where Grace was lying. When the clerk went back into the store to call 911, the man got into the BMW and drove off. Grace was rushed to Southern Hills Medical Center by ambulance where she died shortly after arrival.”
Detectives reported there were no visible signs of trauma to the body of the woman. The cause of her death is pending autopsy and toxicology testing by the Medical Examiner’s Office.
The driver of the BMW is wanted by Metro Police for questioning. Anyone recognizing him from the above surveillance photos is asked to contact Nashville Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463.
