(Rutherford County, TN) A missing teenager has been safely located. Murfreesboro Police confirmed on Wednesday, January 11, 2023, that 15-year-old Kayden Watkins is no longer missing. The teen returned home on her own and she is safe, according to the MPD.
ORIGINAL POST - MISSING TEEN: Kayden Lynn Watkins, 15, was reported as missing "...again on January 10, 2023 by her family." Apparently, someone notified police about her whereabouts and while officers were on route to a known location of where she was seen, she left before the officers arrived.
Previously, Watkins had just returned home last weekend after allegedly running away on December 29, 2022. Police told media, "She has a history of running away and is known to frequent the New Salem area." Watkins was entered as missing in the National Crime & Information Center (NCIC) database.
