MURFREESBORO - The Murfreesboro Kiwanis Foundation would like to thank its sponsors and patrons for the success of their inaugural Comedy for a Cause event which raised more than $21,000 for children’s causes in Rutherford County.

The evening of comedy which featured celebrated comedian Henry Cho and MTSU graduate Brian Bates drew hundreds to The Walnut House for an intimate evening of laughs for all ages.

With the support of top sponsors like Lanham Events, LLC, Ole South, Volunteer State Bank, Steve Fuchcar, CPA and Ken & Lisa Halliburton, all ticket sales were able to go directly to community impact. A full list of sponsors can be found at borocomedy.com.

With the success of this event, Kiwanis is excited to start planning for next year.  Funds raised annually will allow the club to continue to support Key Clubs in area high schools, offer college scholarships and be able to support other non profits in our community that focus on children.

Kiwanis will continue their fundraising efforts for 2023 October 14 as the beneficiary of the Murfreesboro Clue Party in partnership with Wild Goose Chase Events.  To learn more about Kiwanis membership or how you can get involved with their events, contact mborokiwanis@gmail.com.
