(READYVILLE, TN) Working as teams is the secret to the miracles that continue to happen after an F-2 tornado swept across Readyville around 2:00 o'clock Saturday (4/1/2023) morning.

Teams were in the area to rebuild the power infrastructure as soon as the storm passed.

Middle Tennessee Electric's Amy Byers told WGNS, "Our goal was to replace all utility poles and have power-lines up and working by the end of the day. Our lineman met that goal--100 per cent going by the end of the day."

Byers said, "Crews worked a solid 19-hours and at 9:00 o'clock Saturday night, energized the lines."

She stressed, "All buildings are not able to have power connected, but the lines out front are restored and working."

Byers explained that the size of MTE enabled them to draw their crews from other counties and have utility poles and cable brought to the area.

Special thanks to the dedicated crews at Middle Tennessee Electric for their commitment to the community.
