Shelbyville, TN - Down Highway 231 South in Shelbyville, the police department says they need assistance from the community in identifying a subject who was caught on video visiting a local business during the early AM hours of this past Thursday morning.

Shelbyville Police say the report that was filed and the video evidence collected shows the unidentified male entering Riverside Liquors early Thursday morning (April 27, 2023). However, he didn't enter the business during regular business hours, nor did he simply walk through the front door. Instead, he allegedly broke out the front window of the store and then entered the building at 2:08 in the morning.

Once inside the liquor store, police reports show the male subject removed three bottles of whiskey and took lottery tickets. The subject then left the scene in an older moldel SUV that appeared to be a Ford Explorer, possibly spray-painted black. Above this article, you can see a picture of the vehicle that was captured on camera, shown in the picture above this article.

Can You Help Police? The Shelbyville Police Department is looking for information on the subjects identity and a possible location of where he can be found. If you know who this person is, please contact Detective Sgt. Cody Swift at 931-684-5811 or email cody.swift@shelbyvilletnpolice.org.
