New 55+ Community with 1,111 Homes on 522-Acres will be built on Highway 96 in Murfreesboro

Murfreesboro, TN - A new neighborhood is planned for Murfreesboro that will be exclusively built for those who are 55-years-old or older. The new community will sit on over 520-acres along Franklin Road / Highway 96.

Susan Chapin with the Pulte Group told WGNS News the new development will have lot's of amenities geared towards an active and healthy lifestyle...The Lifestyle Director will plan events, activities and even group outings to places like Cheekwood in Nashville, Oaklands Mansion in Murfreesboro and more.

Construction on the new Southern Harmony Del Webb Community for those who are 55 or older has already started and the infrastructure is in place to begin building new homes. A groundbreaking ceremony for the first house will take place on May 22nd at 11 AM.

The 522-acre development is at 7079 Franklin Road in Murfreesboro, which is between the Veterans Parkway intersection and Kingwood Lane. A total of six model homes will be completed and open for tours by early 2024.

The Anticipated Amenities Include: 

More: There will be four distinct home collections at Southern Harmony ranging from approximately 1,300 sq ft to 2,700+ sq. ft.;  three single family detached collections containing between 3 and 5 floor plans each and an attached collection containing 4 floor plans.  Their collection of 16 consumer inspired floor plans will all feature singles level living, specifically curated for today’s active adult buyer in mind. Options inside the homes include lofts, sunrooms, spa-like owner’s retreats and more.
