UPDATE: Suspects Arrested in Smyrna, TN Hostage Case

(SMYRNA, TN)  UPDATE: Two suspects have been arrested after Smyrna Police Officers officers responded to the scene of an injured victim who reported they were held captive and assaulted in the early morning hours on Saturday, June 3, 2023. The police report that the assault resulted in serious bodily injury to the victim who was transported by ambulance for medical care. 

After the suspects left the scene of the alleged hostage situation, they stole the victim's belongings, to include a vehicle, according to police. Both suspects have since been arrested.

Charges of Especially Aggravated Kidnapping and Especially Aggravated Robbery were filed against Timothy Wayne Rainey and Amanda Dawn Jackson. The victim's vehicle has been recovered.

Prior to their capture, Smyrna Police noted that the duo were considered armed and dangerous.
