ANTIOCH, TN - In the area of Antioch, a road rage incident that occurred this past Thursday on Interstate 24 is under investigation. The incident happened when an unknown man in a full-size Ford pickup truck was attempting to merge onto the interstate. Police say the truck, that appeared to have a sizable lift kit on it, tried to pull into the westbound lanes heading towards Nashville, but a semi-truck was in that lane.

The semi-truck driver, who was in the midst of operating his rig in congested traffic, says the lifted truck attempted to enter his lane of travel. The pickup was unable to merge, so the driver began yelling at the semi driver, according to a report released by Metro Police. When the driver of what appeared to be an F-250 couldn’t pull into the tractor trailer’s lane, he drove off at a high rate of speed. It was at that point that a passenger in the backseat of the pickup fired a shot at the big rig, striking the semi in the windshield. Thankfully, there were no injuries reported in the incident.

Currently, the identity of the subject driving the pickup truck remains unknown. Nor have Metro Police been able to identify the passenger who allegedly fired shots at the big rig. Detectives are asking for the communities help in identifying the subjects in the pickup truck. The police are asking anyone who recognizes the driver of the truck to call Nashville Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463. Your tip could help to bring the suspects to justice.
