(MURFREESBORO) Here's an UPDATE on Sunday (8/6/2023) night's fatal two-vehicle crash on I-840 at the Veterans Parkway exit (mm 50).
The THP accident report shows that a 2012 Nissan Altima was traveling west (Murfreesboro going towards Franklin). As the car rounded a curve on I-840, it slid across two westbound lanes of traffic and slammed into the rear of an 18-wheeler that was parked on the right shoulder.
No one was inside the 1999 Freightliner tractor-trailer rig. However, the driver of the Nissan Altima died. She was 29-year old Hytika Johnson from Ohio.
