WILSON COUNTY, TN - On Sunday evening in nearby Lebanon, Tennessee, police spotted a vehicle driving north on Highway 109 at 113 miles per hour. To make matters more dangerous, the driver was headed the wrong direction – in the opposing lane of travel. The Lebanon Police officer who clocked the vehicle made a U-turn, in an attempt to safely pull the speeding motorist over.

Seconds later, the suspect collided with a vehicle that was turning into a neighborhood near the 109 / Lebanon Road intersection. The driver of the speeding sedan ran off the road and through multiple yards, eventually coming to a rest after going through a backyard fence.

On Sunday night, Lebanon Police released that alcohol is believed to have played a role in the crash. The Tennessee Highway Patrol is actively investigating this incident. More details will be released in the near future.
