An early morning road rage incident this past Friday in Lebanon, Tennessee ended with an arrest in Franklin, Tennessee.
Lebanon Police were called to a situation that occurred in the area of I-40, west of the I-840-interchange on Friday where they learned that one motorist pulled out a handgun and fired upon another motorist.
The complainant advised that he engaged in a road rage incident with subjects who were driving a white box truck. The passenger of the white truck allegedly fired multiple rounds from a handgun, striking the complainant’s vehicle at least three times. Detectives were able to locate a shell casing in the area of the incident along I-40.
Through Flock technology, which is an automated license plate recognition computer system, detectives were able to identify the suspect vehicle, which was located in Franklin, TN. The occupants were positively identified, and a handgun was found, according to Lebanon Police. The suspected shooter even made a statement confirming his involvement in the road rage incident.
Lebanon Police confirmed that a suspect has been arrested and stated, “Lebanon Police Department will use any means necessary to prosecute individuals who behave so carelessly with regards to human life.”
