Labor Day Home Fire on Westbrook Drive

(MURFREESBORO) Shortly before 5:00 o'clock Labor Day (9/24/2023) evening, Murfreesboro Fire-Rescue responded to a fire at 3450 Westbrook Drive. The fire started in an adjacent storage building, and within minutes flames spread to a deck and into the roof of a home. 

Firefighters made an aggressive attack on the home and began searching for victims. No one was inside at the time of the fire.

The fire was confined to the roof of the structure and quickly extinguished. The three bedroom, 4 bath, 2,512 squiare foot home received considerable fire and water damage.
 
An investigator from Murfreesboro Fire-Rescue is doing a preliminary investigation to determine a possible cause.
 
The residents of the home will be staying with family members until they can make further accommodations.
 
Special thanks to fire crews with Ladder 1, 4, 6, & 8, Engine 3, 7, Rescue 1, 4, Battalion Chiefs 1 & 2, a safety 1 & 2, and Car 135 who assisted with the fire.
 
By the way, Westbrook Drive is just off Compton Road near Lascassas Pike.
