(MURFREESBORO)  With fall just a little over a week away, the final FRIDAY NIGHT LIVE of the season ended (9/15/2023) with a packed town square, musical memories echoing throughout the historic area and artwork in downtown businesses as well as on the streets.

Memories from the rock'n roll era filled the historic square as Ultimate Oldies kept the audience mesmorized.

In addition, the 'Boro Art Crawl brought residents into downtown stores to talk with local artists and purchase their creations. Plus, street artists did beautiful chalk drawings on sidewalks around the historic courthouse.

The season's final Friday Night Live was coupled with the perfect weather, which created a night that will be forever captured in the minds of those who attended.

Main Street Murfreesboro's Executive Director Sarah Callender shared what she enjoyed most about the monthy free Friday Night Live performances . . .

Main Street developed Friday Night Live to attract more persons to enjoy the renovated historic Murfreesboro's downtown district.

Main Street’s mission is to maintain, enhance, and promote the downtown as the heart of our community.

For the past thirty-nine years, Main Street has been instrumental in decisions that affect the downtown district. From spearheading burying utilities, repairing sidewalks, creating cross-walks, landscaping, beautification, and street lighting.

It began in 1985 with City support to beautify and preserve downtown through partnership and development.
