MURFREESBORO, TN - The Murfreesboro Police Department is investigating another theft of property case. In this particular crime, two culprits working together were captured on video stealing used tires at least twice from the same automotive shop. One of the thefts was recorded on August 27th and a second theft was captured on September 9th.

According to police, the unknown bandits pulled into the rear parking lot of the mechanic shops and helped themselves to the used rubber. The alleged thieves were an older white female who was driving the getaway vehicle, and an older white male who can be heard on video directing the woman to his desired loading zone… After she found his sweet spot… He went to work loading the tires into the pickup…

The thefts were reported at Hackett Brothers Automotive and National Auto Sales, which are only 340-feet apart. The two stores are on NW Broad Street, just before the entrance to the Stones River Country Club. Those businesses are in the 1700 and 1800 blocks of Broad Street.

Detectives are asking for the public's help in identifying the two subjects…  - Who were caught on camera allegedly stealing the used tires.

The truck used in the heist appears to be an early 2000’s era Chevrolet Silverado that was maroon in color. Video evidence shows the pickup had a Z-71 decal on the rear quarter panel. Pictures also prove the truck had sun faded paint on both the hood and roof of the truck, with the clear coat flaking off in some areas.
