(MURFREESBORO) Listeners called WGNS Monday (10/2/2023) moning asking why their electricity was out?
The radio station checked with Middle Tennessee Electric's Amy Byers and learned that "a blown cutout on the pole was the reason, and it was probably caused by a squirrel".
She told WGNS that crews were on-the-scene and the power was restored at 8:46AM.
Byers noted that 58-homes in the Riverview subdivision around Haynes Drive and Thompson Lane were impacted.
She also encouraged persons to phone Middle Tennessee Electric's power outage line at 877-777-9020 whenever the electricity is out.
