RUTHERFORD COUNTY, TENN – A man who was pulled over with a little more than 15-pounds of Crystal Methamphetamine has been convicted in a Rutherford County Sheriff's Department case. 34-Year-old David Lee McCoy was stopped on March 3rd of last year. District Attorney Jennings Jones told WGNS... McCoy was indicted by a Rutherford County Grand Jury.

In a surprising twist, McCoy fled the area on day two of his trial... Last month, McCoy was located in Louisville, Kentucky where he was arrested. He has since been extradited back to Rutherford County for sentencing. McCoy has an upcoming hearing this Wednesday, October 11th.

A second subject who was with McCoy at the time of his arrest will be in court later this year. A plea hearing for 27-year-old Jessica Heather Farmer is scheduled to take place in December.

The seized methamphetamine was said to be worth $46,000. The original stop was made outside of a LaVergne convenience store, a Rutherford County Sheriff’s lieutenant said.
