MURFREESBORO, TN - A convicted felon who lived on Saint Andrews Drive in Murfreesboro allegedly fled the area after allegations of child rape arose. Eric Branch, who was 34-years-old when the accusations were first investigated, raped a child in 2019 and evidently had hopes the rape would never come to light. However, Murfreesboro Police Detective Tiffany Host not only brought the case to light, but also ensured that Branch would be brought to justice.
In October of 2021 Branch was captured and transported back to Murfreesboro to face multiple charges that included two counts of Rape of a Child...
Branch, who is now 36-years-old appeared before the Rutherford County Courts for trial earlier this year... After the guilty plea, Branch was scheduled to re-appear before the courts for sentencing, which added up to almost 75-years in prison... 72-Years from the date that Branch was first arrested in 2021 means the sentence will come to a close in year 2091. At that point, he will be 105-years-old. Branch remains behind bars at the Bledsoe County Correctional Complex. Previous news story HERE.
