Stephen Kings "MISERY" Open 7:30PM Friday at Center for the Arts

(MURFREESBORO) Get ready for an evening of suspense with Stephen King's MISERY. It opens Friday night at the Center for the Arts in uptown Murfreesboro (110 West College Street). The R rated production continues through Nov. 19, 2023 with Friday and Saturday evening shows at 7:30PM and 2:00PM Sunday matinees. 

MISERY tells about successful romance novelist Paul Sheldon being rescued from a car crash by his ‘Number One Fan’, Annie Wilkes. He wakes up captive in her secluded home.

While Paul is convalescing, Annie reads the manuscript to his newest novel and becomes enraged when she discovers the author has killed off her favorite character, Misery Chastain.

Annie forces Paul to write a new ‘Misery’ novel, and he quickly realizes Annie has no intention of letting him go anywhere.

MISERY is based on the novel by Stephen King and the movie starring Kathy Bates and James Caan. It is directed by Veronica Roeder and is rated R.
