(MURFREESBORO, TN) This is the time of the year that we count our many blessings, and one of those is GREENHOUSE MINISTRIES turkey and Thanksgiving' fixin's that are given to underserved families. They are collecting frozen turkeys at the new Greenhouse location (307 S. Academy St.) this coming Friday (Nov. 17, 2023) from 6:00AM to 6:00PM.
Greenhouse Co-Founder Cliff Sharp commented... Sharp said the goal for frozen turkeys is 600 this year, and they also give out canned ham to those who do not have a large enough family to need the turkey. Around 50 canned hams are needed.
DROP OFF POINT FRIDAY - Again, this Friday's frozen turkey and canned ham drop-off point is at the new Greenhouse Ministries' location (307 S. Academy St.). They will have a tent set-up, so you wont miss the place to leave the frozen turkeys and canned ham.
Sharp said, "We'll have donuts and coffee at the tent and encourage everyone to relax and share your thoughts while visiting Greenhouse Ministries."
FOOD GIVEN AWAY SATURDAY - South Academy Street between the original Greenhouse location and the new facility will be closed to traffic Saturday morning (Nov. 18, 2023) between 7:00AM and noon. That's where the turkeys, hams and Thanksgiving fixin's will be distributed to those with vouchers. Each voucher has a pickup time printed on it.
