(MURFREESBORO) At 5:12PM Friday evening (11/24/2023}, Murfreesboro Police received a call about a stabbing in the parking lot at Kelton Hardware, 2870 Old Fort Parkway.

Murfreesboro police spokesperson Larry Flowers told WGNS that a man was reportedly beaten by three individuals and then stabbed multiple times. He was able to pull himself to the door of the business. The injured man was spotted by employees, who called 911 and assited him until trained first responders arrived.

Rutherford County Emergency Medical Services took the victim to the ER at Ascension St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital.  His condition has not been released by police.

The K-9 and drone team from the Rutherford County Sheriffs Department was called to help with the search for the three suspects who were last seen running toward Mapco. That's about 300-feet south of Kelton's on the Old Fort Parkway at Gresham Lane.

It was dark when the suspects fled-the-scene. The beating and knifing took place around 5:15PM and the sunset was 4:30PM. In addition, temperatures were starting to drop from the 50s and it was getting breezy and cold.

Flowers said that one of the attackers was wearing all black clothing, another had a white hoodie and black pants, and the third wore a black sports jacket with white sleeves.
