The annual Murfreesboro Christmas Parade is directly around the corner and this year Grand Marshal has been announced by the Parks and Rec Department... That was Parks Director Nate Williams.
The theme of this year's parade is Christmas Magic, as explained by Susan Hicks with parks and rec... This years parade will be on Sunday, December 10, 2023 at 2 PM. As in years past, the parade will start near the intersection of East Main Street and Middle Tennessee Blvd. The parade route will head down East Main Street to the historic Rutherford County Square and end at North Walnut Street.
Again, the Grand Marshal of the Murfreesboro Christmas Parade is Dr. Gloria Bonner. In 2017, Bonner retired from MTSU. Prior to her retirement, she has spent 44 years in education with 32 of those years in academic and administrative roles at Middle Tennessee State University. Bonner has dedicated a huge percentage of her life to not only education, but also to volunteering with a long list of local non-profits that better our community.
