Father and Daughter on Board Plane that Crashes at Giles County/Marshall County Line

GILES COUNTY, TN - In a heartbreaking incident on Thursday morning, a single-engine Beechcraft crashed at the Giles County/Marshall County line, claiming the lives of a father and his daughter. The victims, identified as James and Jenny Blaylock from Knoxville, Tennessee, were the only two on the aircraft when the tragedy occurred.

The Giles County Sheriff's Office confirmed their identities, shedding light on the devastating loss for the Knoxville community. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has launched an investigation into the crash to determine the cause of the incident that led to the untimely demise of the father-daughter duo.

The small Beechcraft, built in 1965, was reportedly up-to-date on certificates, with the latest issuances recorded in January of this year, according to FAA records. The aircraft was registered to "Plantation Reclaimed, Inc.," a Knoxville-based company specializing in reclaimed wood flooring and lumber from barns.

FlightAware.com reported that the fixed-wing aircraft took off from the Knoxville Downtown Island runway at 9:48 Central Time and crashed at 11:04 Central Time. The flight, lasting for 1 hour and 16 minutes, ended in a somber note, leaving the aviation community and the Blaylock family grappling with the profound loss.
