A 43-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with the death of Joshua White, 34, who was found shot at a gas station in South Nashville in November 2023. White drove his bright yellow Hyundai Veloster into the parking lot of a BP gas station, where witnesses saw him exit the vehicle, inform a passerby that he was shot, and then collapse.

Despite being taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, White later succumbed to his injuries. Additionally, police confirmed that before collapsing, White, who was from Murfreesboro, got out of his car and asked for help. Surveillance footage and witness statements suggested that White was shot while leaving Benzing Road, but the exact location of the incident remains unclear.

Text messages retrieved from a witness' phone allegedly implicate Ada Kirby in the shooting, though the motive behind the crime remains unknown. 43-year-old Kirby was booked at 2:25 a.m. this Thursday morning. Kirby has been charged with criminal homicide and is currently held on a $270,000 bond. Detectives are urging anyone with information to come forward by contacting Crime Stoppers (615) 742-7463.
