LaVergne, Tennessee - Robert Brooks, a 30-year-old resident of Rutherford County, has officially declared his candidacy for the Rutherford County School Board in Zone 2. With deep roots in the community, Brooks reports a wealth of experience and says he has a strong commitment to advocating for quality education for all families within the district.

Having grown up in LaVergne, Brooks attended Roy Waldron Elementary School and graduated from LaVergne High in 2000. Throughout his school years, he actively participated in various athletic teams, including football, basketball, and track, showcasing his dedication to teamwork and community involvement.

Beyond his own education, Brooks has been deeply involved in supporting youth sports in LaVergne, volunteering as a coach and referee for both the LaVergne Youth Basketball League and the LaVergne Youth Football League. His leadership roles within these organizations have provided him with invaluable experience in working with diverse groups and addressing community needs.

Drawing on his eight years of educational experience at Lancaster Christian Academy, where he served in roles such as Director of Student Affairs, Brooks has gained a comprehensive understanding of school operations, including student safety, scheduling, and extracurricular activities. His hands-on involvement in managing day-to-day operations has equipped him with the skills necessary to navigate the complexities of educational administration.

In announcing his candidacy, Brooks expressed his deep commitment to representing the concerns and aspirations of Rutherford County families. He emphasized his role as a father of four within the school system, underscoring his personal investment in ensuring that every student receives a quality education.

"As a father of four within the Rutherford County school system, my passion for quality education has fueled my decision to step up and be a voice for our families," Brooks stated. The candidate went on to say, "Brooks for Books" isn't just a slogan; it's a vision for putting families back in the driver's seat of decision-making. I am committed to being your representative, ensuring that your concerns and aspirations shape the future of education in our district."

Brooks encourages all parents and families to reach out to him via email (Brooks4booksdistrict2@gmail.com) with any questions, concerns, or opportunities to get involved in his campaign.
