Community Engagement: Public Meeting for Proposed Transfer Station in Murfreesboro

Murfreesboro, TN - The City of Murfreesboro is hosting a Public Meeting regarding the proposed Solid Waste Materials Management Station (Transfer Station) on Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2024, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. The meeting will take place in the Council Chambers on the first floor of City Hall, located at 111 West Vine Street in Murfreesboro.
 
During the meeting, the public is invited to provide comments on the project information book, which outlines the proposed Transfer Station's location at 2120 Butler Drive in Murfreesboro.
 
Representatives from the City of Murfreesboro and interested citizens will be in attendance. The purpose of the meeting is to inform the public about the proposed Transfer Station and gather feedback.
 
Attendees will have the opportunity to hear a presentation of the project plan book and provide comments following the presentation. Residents will be given 3 minutes to speak and ask questions if representing themselves, or 5 minutes if representing a group.
 
City staff will be present to take notes and address questions during the meeting. If time permits, staff will provide immediate responses. Otherwise, they will follow up with answers after conducting further research.
