(MURFREESBORO) On Thursday (3/19/2024) United Communications, in partnership with Middle Tennessee Electric (MTE), officially opened its new Rutherford Operations Center at 1010 Haley Road in Murfreesboro. This represents an $85-million investment that provides high speed internet to an expanded service area including 77-thousand customers. It also expands the firm’s internet connectivity in Murfreesboro and Rutherford County.
The company boasts bandwidths of up to 2-Gigabits, which are delivered over their fiber network. Married to double-digit gigabits is the latest Wi-Fi 6 technology. United Communications also provides phone services for both residential and business addresses across Middle Tennessee.
United Communication's deployment of this broadband infrastructure not only addresses immediate connectivity, but also acts as a catalyst for economic development, fostering growth and innovation within local communities, notably Rutherford County.
With an extensive infrastructure spanning over 3,700 route miles of fiber, United Communications' footprint extends across Bedford, Davidson, Franklin, Marshall, Maury, Rutherford, Williamson, and Wilson counties.
