La Vergne, TN - In a groundbreaking initiative aimed at enhancing educational access for La Vergne families, a recent master’s graduate and La Vergne High School alumna, Ginger Levinson, has orchestrated an innovative partnership between the La Vergne Public Library and two prominent educational centers. Through her dedicated efforts, library members now have the exclusive opportunity to explore the Smyrna Outdoor Adventure Center and Discovery Center in Murfreesboro free of charge.
This pioneering initiative represents a significant milestone for the library and the La Vergne community as a whole. Families are now able to borrow passes, similar to library books, for a week at a time. Each pass grants admission for two adults and up to four children, fostering an environment where exploration and learning thrive beyond the confines of traditional classroom settings.
Library Director Donna Bebout lauded the program as a transformative step forward in expanding access to educational resources for La Vergne residents. By eliminating financial barriers and facilitating access to these premier educational destinations, the program aims to empower families and enrich the educational experiences of children in the community.
Beginning April 1, families eager to embark on educational adventures are encouraged to seize this remarkable opportunity. Eligibility requires parents to be members of the La Vergne Public Library, with membership cards obtainable at no cost.
